Deception is Neeko’s core mechanic, and no other mage weaponizes information the way she does. Inherent Glamour lets her disguise herself as an allied champion or even neutral units on the map, turning every lane appearance and jungle camp into a potential trap. Played in mid or support, she wins games as much through mind games as through raw damage, though her magic output is genuinely threatening on its own.

Her spell rotation rewards precision. Blooming Burst throws a seed that re-blooms when it hits champions or kills units, stacking heavy damage on grouped or low-health targets. Tangle-Barbs is the key setup tool — a skillshot root that grows larger, faster, and longer-lasting after passing through a champion, making it devastating against clumped teams. Shapesplitter adds a clone and empowered every-third-attack damage, giving her both extra trading power and yet another layer of misdirection when combined with her disguise.

The disguised engage

Pop Blossom is where everything converges: Neeko leaps up, knocks up everyone nearby, then damages and stuns on landing — and crucially, the wind-up is hidden while she is disguised. A Neeko walking into a fight as the enemy’s harmless-looking support can suddenly erupt into a five-person stun, which is why she is prized as a teamfight engage threat from the support role.

She suits creative players who enjoy outsmarting opponents, though her squishiness and reliance on landing skillshots punish those who bluff without a follow-up plan.
