Gragas is a bruiser-mage hybrid played in top and mid lane, blending a 7 defense rating with real magic damage output. His identity is crowd control on a frame durable enough to deliver it: he starts fights, disrupts formations and shrugs off the response thanks to Happy Hour, a passive that heals him every time he uses a skill, giving him sustain simply for playing his rotation.
Barrel Roll defines his laning. The cask can be detonated early or left to ripen for up to 4 seconds, growing more potent over time and slowing everything caught in the blast — a poke tool, a zoning threat and a waveclear spell in one button. Drunken Rage complements it defensively, reducing damage taken after a short sip and empowering his next basic attack with area magic damage, which lets him win extended trades that his health bar alone would not justify.
His engage is Body Slam, a charge that collides with the first enemy and stuns everyone nearby. From there, Explosive Cask is one of the game’s most decisive ultimates: a thrown barrel that knocks enemies back from its blast, capable of separating a carry from its team or scattering a dive onto his allies. The same knockback can also lose fights when aimed poorly, which is the main skill test he presents.
Gragas fits players who like flexible, playmaking tanks — champions that shape teamfight geometry rather than just absorb damage. He punishes clumped teams, peels for carries by shoving threats away, and stays relevant on cooldown rotations even when behind.
