Viego

Viego is a resourceless fighter-assassin for top and mid lane whose entire identity revolves around one mechanic: possession. His passive, Sovereign’s Domination, turns slain enemies into wraiths — attack one and Viego seizes the dead champion’s body, healing for a percentage of their max health and gaining access to their basic abilities. One kill in a teamfight can chain into several more as he cycles through stolen kits.

How the kit flows

In his own body, Viego fights through Blade of the Ruined King, a spectral blade that passively deals bonus current-health damage on-hit and strikes twice against targets he recently hit with an ability, stealing health each time. Spectral Maw is his engage tool — a charged dash that releases a ball of Black Mist to stun the first enemy hit — while Harrowed Path lets him haunt terrain with Mist, hiding inside it as a camouflaged wraith with bonus move and attack speed. Heartbreaker closes the loop: a teleporting execute that pierces a low-health champion’s heart and knocks their allies away with a shockwave.

A typical pattern is E onto a wall for camouflage, W stun from the Mist, Q-weave autos for the double-strike healing, then R to finish — and if the target dies, the possession reset begins. His weaknesses follow from the design: without takedowns he is just a decent duelist, and his stun requires a charged, dodgeable dash.

Viego rewards players who enjoy improvisation and mechanical breadth. Every possession hands you a different champion mid-fight, so mastering him effectively means understanding half the roster.
