Silver Stake
Locke's attacks deal additional magic damage On-Hit, increased based on enemy missing Health.
the Ashen Exorcist
Playing Locke means living at the edge of your own health bar. This melee assassin-mage hybrid, fielded in the mid lane, converts on-hit magic damage into executions: his Silver Stake passive makes every attack hit harder the lower the enemy’s health, so his entire game plan revolves around getting targets into that kill window and finishing them before they escape.
The kit rewards deliberate setup. Ritual Nails readies Soul Nails that damage and mark enemies, and consuming those marks with attacks adds bonus damage, so a good Locke stacks marks before ever committing. Ashen Pursuit is the commitment button: a teleport into a dash that carries him through enemies to his target, ideal for closing the 125-range gap a melee fighter has to cross. Soul Ignition is the most distinctive piece, a self-burn that grants attack speed and move speed at the cost of his own health, refunding a portion of the damage he takes afterward. Timing it so the fight ends before the self-damage matters is the core skill test of the champion.
Purgatory caps the pattern with a thrown binding artifact that can outright execute low-health enemies, and sealing champions away grants Locke additional power, making each kill feed the next. His weakness is written into the kit: he damages himself, fights at melee range and offers little to a team when behind. Locke appeals to players who enjoy high-tempo, all-in duelists where resource management means gambling with their own life total.
