Gold is the fourth tier of the ranked ladder and one of its most famous milestones — for years it has been the classic season goal that many players aim for. It sits above Silver and below Platinum, with four divisions running from Gold IV to Gold I.

Reaching Gold means you are comfortably in the upper half of the ranked journey from Iron, and games start to feel more structured: players punish obvious mistakes, wave states matter, and objective setups are contested. To keep climbing, lean on preparation — know your matchups before the game starts, follow patch changes that shift your champions, and play your best two or three picks instead of experimenting in ranked. Consistency is what turns Gold into Platinum.
