LoL Classic Vote Restores Three Legacy Items

LoL Classic players have voted to restore three legacy items and add modern jungle timers, according to the results of the mode’s first Council vote. The option covering all three items received 60.7% of votes, passing the 50% threshold set for items to be added. The jungle-timer vote also passed: the two choices supporting timers combined for 69.2%, and the always-visible minimap option was the larger of those two choices at 45.7%.
The first Council vote placed several LoL Classic decisions in the hands of players, with the item and jungle-timer questions producing confirmed gameplay changes. The item ballot had a direct approval rule. Any option that exceeded 50% would lead to an addition, including the choice that grouped all three legacy items together. That combined option was the only item choice to clear the required mark, so the result confirms the return of three items rather than a vote for only one of them. The jungle-timer question used a separate rule that matters for understanding the outcome. Players could support a timer that remains visible on the minimap, support a timer visible only when opening the scoreboard, or keep the current minimap. The two timer options were counted together to determine whether timers would be approved. Because their combined share reached 69.2%, timers were accepted. The largest of the two favorable choices then determined the selected version, making the always-visible minimap timer the winning implementation. These published rules and percentages show both why timers passed and why the minimap display was chosen.

How the key Classic votes were decided
The legacy-item result was decisive under the Council’s stated condition. The all-three-items option earned 60.7%, above the 50% mark required for an item choice to be added. The separate item options did not reach that threshold. As a result, the confirmed change is a three-item return through the bundled ballot choice. The result is also useful as a guide to what the vote did not decide. Players did not select a single item from a group of individual winners, because none of those individual choices passed the required level. Instead, the majority supported the ballot option that included all three. That is why the outcome is described as three legacy items returning to LoL Classic.
Jungle timers had a different route to approval, but the published totals make the decision clear. The always-visible minimap timer received 45.7% of votes. The scoreboard-only timer received 23.5%. Together, those favorable options totaled 69.2%, which was above the majority condition for adding timers. The choice to keep the existing minimap received 30.8%. Because the minimap option was the larger of the two timer choices, it won once the combined support for timers had passed the required level. This means the Council result identified more than general support for a modern jungle timer. It also identified the display players selected: a timer that stays visible on the minimap. The percentage breakdown provides a practical reading of the ballot, separating approval of the feature from the choice of how it will appear.
Other Council choices add context
Other answers from the Council vote show how players responded to existing LoL Classic systems. Base gates will remain in the mode after keeping the mechanic received 55.1% of votes, compared with 44.9% for removing it. Ward trinkets also received support, with 69.7% of players saying they improve Classic. The survey section included feedback on match duration and the snowball effect. A total of 52.8% said the current match length is appropriate. When asked when a match becomes too long, 40 minutes was the most selected answer at 32.7%. On snowballing, the leading response was that its impact is at the right level, with 48.8% of votes. Players also chose the placement of two river creatures that Riot had already confirmed would be added to the map. The turtle in the upper position and the duck in the lower position was selected by 52.1% of participants. The Council’s role on that question was to decide which creature would appear on each side, rather than whether the two creatures would be added. Taken together, these results provide context for the item and timer decisions while recording player views on several other Classic features.
