He swings from 175 attack range against Shen’s 125 and opens with 68 attack damage to Shen’s 64, yet Chomp drains attack damage, a stat a Tank build barely spends on. Almost everything Trundle threatens is physical and arrives through basic attacks accelerated inside Frozen Domain, which is precisely the damage pattern Spirit’s Refuge switches off for its duration. Ki Barrier returns on a shorter cooldown whenever a spell touches a champion, so the chip damage Trundle needs never piles up.

Subjugate is the one ability that punishes stacked defenses, stripping health, armor and magic resistance at once, and 105.4 armor with 32 base magic resistance makes Shen a worthwhile target for it. The scaling runs the other way through Twilight Assault, which deals damage as a share of maximum health and finds 2,520 health on Trundle at level 18 against Shen’s 2,293.
