XGamers

XGamers was a Taiwanese League of Legends organisation that competed within the LMS region, the circuit that once served as the top level of professional play for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Now disbanded, the club is remembered as one of the many outfits that populated this historically significant part of the competitive world.

The LMS Era

The League of Legends Master Series, or LMS, was for several years a premier regional league that earned a strong reputation on the international stage. Born out of a split from the earlier Garena-run competition, the LMS quickly established itself as a region capable of producing world-class talent and memorable international runs. Taiwan in particular became a hotbed of strategic innovation, and clubs based there carried the hopes of a dedicated local audience.

A Taiwanese Contender

As a Taiwan-based organisation, XGamers operated in a market with deep roots in competitive gaming and a passionate community. Teams from this region were known for their willingness to experiment tactically and for occasionally upsetting more established powers from larger regions. XGamers formed part of that ecosystem, contributing to the domestic competition that gave the LMS its depth and character.

The LMS was eventually merged into the Pacific Championship Series, bringing an end to the standalone era in which XGamers competed. That restructuring reshaped the competitive map for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and South-East Asia, folding the region’s clubs into a broader Pacific framework.

In Retrospect

XGamers is no longer active, and its competitive journey belongs to the legacy of the LMS. While the region no longer exists under that name, the era it represented remains an important chapter in the global history of League of Legends. Organisations such as XGamers helped sustain the vibrancy of Taiwanese competition during a period when the region consistently punched above its weight on the world stage.
