About KOI
KOI was a Spanish esports organisation that competed in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), the premier tier of professional League of Legends across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Born from the merger of an established competitive brand with a heavily followed content and streaming operation, KOI carried a distinctly Iberian identity into a circuit long dominated by Northern and Western European powers. The project ultimately wound down, and today the organisation is remembered as a former participant in the region’s top flight.

KOI arrived in the LEC at a moment when the league had transitioned to a franchised, three-split calendar spanning Winter, Spring and Summer, with the standings feeding into international qualification.
