About Afro Beast
Afro Beast was a Taiwanese League of Legends team that competed within the LMS, the League of Legends Master Series that once served as the premier circuit for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. The organisation is now disbanded, but it belonged to a region that carved out a distinguished place in the game’s competitive history before the LMS was eventually reorganised.
Part of the LMS Era
Based in Taiwan, Afro Beast played during the period when the LMS stood as one of the game’s major leagues, sending representatives to international events and boasting some of the most respected teams in the world. The Master Series was known for producing skilled, mechanically sharp players, and clubs competing in or around it operated in a demanding environment. Afro Beast was one of the Taiwanese sides active in that competitive landscape.
The Roster
Afro Beast fielded a lineup that featured SkuLL, PingPong, Moonblack, Arttt, Butter, Pandabb and Error. This group of players formed the competitive core of the organisation, contributing to its matches within the Taiwanese scene. The names reflect the pool of talent that the region cultivated during the LMS years, when local competition was fierce and opportunities plentiful.
A Region in Transition
The LMS was ultimately dissolved and folded into a wider Pacific structure, which reshaped where Taiwanese teams competed and how the region was represented internationally. Organisations from that era, Afro Beast among them, belong to a chapter of League of Legends history that predates the current arrangement. Their stories are part of understanding how the modern Pacific scene came to be.
As a former team, Afro Beast no longer competes, yet it remains a piece of the LMS legacy that shaped Taiwanese esports. The players who represented it were part of a proud regional tradition, and the club stands as a reminder of the competitive depth that once flourished under the Master Series banner.
