The Story of Twisted Fate
Ask Twisted Fate for the truth about anything and you will get a story instead, usually one flattering to him.
He built his reputation as a cardsharp and swindler by working his way across most of the known world, charming coin out of people who should have known better and earning both hatred and grudging admiration along the way. Little about him is taken seriously by the man himself; he meets every situation with a smirking confidence, as though whatever trouble he’s in has already been planned for. In the ports of Bilgewater, that confidence is backed by a habit of always keeping one more trick in reserve.
He is not entirely a lone operator, either — his working relationship with Graves is close enough to count as a genuine partnership, the sort of arrangement where each covers whatever the other’s schemes leave exposed.
In battle, Twisted Fate plays as a Mage and Marksman suited to Mid or ADC and fueled by Mana, and his abilities lean just as heavily on trickery as his reputation suggests. Wild Cards flings three cards outward, damaging every enemy they pass through. Pick a Card lets him select a hidden card from his deck to empower his next attack with a bonus effect chosen on the fly. Stacked Deck rewards patience by adding bonus damage and Attack Speed every four attacks. Loaded Dice, his passive, pays him variable bonus gold whenever he lands a kill, a small gamble baked into every fight. Destiny, his ultimate, reveals every enemy champion on the map and unlocks Gate, letting him teleport almost anywhere in under two seconds — useful for an ambush, and just as useful for making a dramatic exit. Old associates like Gangplank and Miss Fortune have learned the hard way that a deal with Twisted Fate is rarely as simple as it first sounds.
